October 14, 2026 @ 16:00 – 17:30 CEST
In the third session of this online seminar series, we are delighted to welcome Juliana Gutiérrez Valderrama (Universidad de los Andes) as our speaker. We will be discussing her chapter “Values In Global Science And The Relevance Of Geographic Diversity” (2026), in which she argues that different forms of epistemic oppression are connected to diversity of geographic location, resulting in a globally asymmetric science that mainly serves the most privileged locations at the expense of the most vulnerable regions.
