Welcome! This website is a living archive of perspectives and resources from feminist philosophy on climate change.
Feminist philosophy so far has had little influence on climate science, philosophy of climate science and climate action. We believe that this should change. In our view, there is much to gain from feminist philosophy, in particular feminist epistemology, for thinking about how to make climate science and action more fair and reliable. Our aim is therefore to use feminist resources to explore issues of injustice such as gender injustice, injustice between the Global North and Global South, against indigenous peoples and other marginalised groups.
The aim of this website is to hightlight key topics which, we argue, are central to a feminist perspective on climate change and to collect work that applies feminist resources to discussions on climate change and climate science – both by our own group and by others. If you find something missing or you have other ideas for how to further develop this field, feel free to contact us.
We are a group of feminist philosophers of science based in Bern, Switzerland. If you want to know more about us, visit our project and team pages.
